We are committed to protecting your privacy. All personal information
you give us is kept confidential and protected. We will not sell or
disclose any information that identifies you to a third party without
your approval. Please continue to read our privacy policy for more
details.
Placing an Order:
Any personal information (name, address, email, and credit card) you
send us when submitting your "shop online" order is transmitted
securely over the Internet from your computer to our Web server.
When you place an order, we need to know your name, email address,
mailing address, credit card number, and expiration date. Once we
receive your personal information for an online purchase, it is forwarded
to our fulfillment facility. Your information will only be used to
process, track and ship your order. This data (with the exception
of credit card information) will also be retained by Face Options
for customer service purposes.
Cookies:
There is a technology called "cookies" which can be used
to provide you with tailored information from a web site. A cookie
is an element of data that a web site can send to your browser, which
may then store it on your system. Face Options uses "cookies"
to track your shopping so that we may process your order and so we
may better serve you when you return to our site. The cookie we use
is a Session ID that allows us to keep track of each user's shopping
bag. It contains no personal information about the user or the user's
computer, and it is automatically deleted from your computer when
you close your browser. Each time you shop online with us a new Session
ID is calculated for you and stored as a cookie.
Security:
The "shop online" section of the Face Options Web site is
located on a "secure server." When you submit any personal
information from the shop online order form and the registration form,
the secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information before it
is sent to us, protecting it against unauthorized access.
The secure server access implemented on this site is the https protocol
that uses Netscape's SSL (secure socket layer) security features.
This allows all commerce on the Internet to be conducted as safely
and securely as any other form of commerce. You do not need to be
using a Netscape Web browser for your information to be sent securely.
The most current browsers support SSL technology. Your browser should
let you know when you are about to make a secure connection by displaying
a message box. You should also see an image of an unbroken key or
a lock at the bottom corner of your browser. If the message is not
displayed or the image is of a broken key, your connection is not
secure. If you still have concerns about using your credit card online,
you may place your order by phone at (415) 467-6261.
Browsers:
It is strongly suggested that you upgrade your Web browser to the
most recent versions of either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape
Navigator. These newest versions of browser contain features that
ensure that the shopping bag system will function properly. They also
incorporate all of the security features, which ensure you are sending
your personal information securely over the Internet. If you are using
America Online you should be sure you are utilizing the most recent
version of the AOL software, which includes an up-to-date browser.
If you have any questions or comments about a privacy issue or anything
else, please contact us.
